I was born and raised in Vietnam. I came to the U.S in 2013 at the age of 15. I began swimming competitively at the age of 17, much later compared to other competitive swimmers. Swimming has taught me many important lessons that are valuable for the rest of my life, such as hard work, perseverance, and trust.
My coaching philosophy starts with loving the sports, and my swimmers should enjoy and have fun when they come to my practices. If they are not swimming fast and enjoy my practice at the same time, then I am not doing my job right as a coach.
