Joey Dai

Born and raised in Elk Grove, Joey graduated high school from Franklin High School, moved to Merced to attend UC Merced, and swim at Merced College before finally finishing off his studies at UC Davis. Joey has 10+ years of coaching experience at all levels. Joey began his coaching career in the summer of 2008 as an assistant coach for the Elk Grove Piranhas. When moving for school he assisted the Merced Skimmers USA team. During his coaching career, Joey has helped the Elk Grove Piranhas become an elite Recreational Team, winning the Sacramento Valley Meet of Champions 6 years in a row. Joey is currently still working as the Franklin High School Head Coach, leading several individual section champions, a Section Swimming Championship (only one in EGUSD), as well as qualifying for the High School Swimming State Championship.
