Meet Information

EGAC is hosting the Golden Buoy Tri-Meet and CCA and NSS will be in attendance. A little history below:

  • The Golden Buoy is an annual dual meet between Elk Grove Aquatics Club and Northern Sierra Swimming, dating back to November 18, 2017. It was during a spring championship meet that coaches of EGAC and NSS came up with the idea, “Wouldn’t it be fun?!” Through some brainstorming, we came up with “The Golden Buoy,” a nod to the annual USA Swimming “Golden Goggles” Awards Ceremony. The physical golden buoy trophy was skillfully crafted by NSS Head Coach Daryn Glasgow. In 2022, another team joined the meet. With the addition of California Capital Aquatics (CCA), we now have the Golden Buoy Tri Meet.

  • Swimmer can register by contacting their coach. Each swimmer can register and swim 3 events plus 1 relay. The entry fee is a flat rate of $30.

  • Potluck for Golden Buoy

To make this event even more fun and to bring all three teams together, we will be having a potluck with all three teams. Everyone can bring their food starting at 12:30PM and snack/eat throughout the meet. Please sign up for the potluck at the link. Sign-up Link

  • Trick or Treat Tables

Since the meet is so close to Halloween, we decided to add a trunk or treat type event, but instead of decorating the trunk of your car, you will decorate tables. We will have the coaches vote on the best tables and awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place tables. If you would like to host a table, please sign up at the link below. Please note we will have approximately 200 swimmers. All treats must be peanut-free. Sign Up Link.
